Ice Protect Plus

Ice Protect Plus (IPP) is a self adhesive modified asphalt roofing underlayment. The topside is polyester surfacing for high-temperature applications under metal and tile roofing. This roofing underlayment is used under the primary roof covering for the prevention of moisture intrusion. Manufactured with SBS-modified asphalt, IPP comes with a selvedge edge, a split poly release liner and a smooth polyester surface — making it easy to install and eliminating the need for a slip sheet under metal roofing.

TOUGH, FLEXIBLE, EXCEPTIONALLY STABLE…UP TO 260°F

Ice Protect Plus has been engineered with an aggressive adhesive that will adhere to the decking and also withstands temperatures up to 260 degrees F. This aggressive adhesive reduces the need to mechanically fasten the underlayment. Even though IPP has an aggressive adhesive, it will allow repositioning immediately after the initial installation for minor corrections.

The Ice Protect Plus selvedged edge feature allows for tighter laps and is approved for a 90-day exposure. It also meets ASTM D1970 for nail sealability and passes the TAS-103 test of 10 stacked tiles.
